I didn't write for quite a long time, so now it is time to do it.

First - our midsummer celebration. I must say, it was great. We spent a weekend in woods in an old mine, hade a big fire in the evening and of course - the rite.Without any plans, there were thirteen people there :-)

We entered the circle after circle and personal purification and I lead the Two powers meditation. After that we took the torchs and with singing "spirit of the fire come to us" kindled the fire, very big fire with its flames about 3 meters high.

Than we casted the circle, invoked the elements and the main guest - the Goddess. We asked celtic goddess Aine to be with us.

Than we performed the myth about Oak and Holy King, which was very powerful.

Than there was a ritual of wishes - everyone could offer a libation to the Goddess and ask for the blessing for his or her wish. Than there was Cakes and wine and after it we said farewall to the Goddess and the elements and opened the circle.

After the rite, we had a feasting, singing, drumming etc.

I think, it was great for the first time. :-)

Yesterday I attended our women group and met fourth clan mother. My strangest experiences of the month always comes the same evening, as our group. Well, this month it is one day after...

On our new pagan forum we discussed about what to do for "pagan beginners", people asking us for the advice or wanting to join the group or coven. This is quite difficult in our country - after 40 years od communism, when all religion was forbidden, there isn't anybody who knows much about paganism, wicca etc. Our "elders" are 30 years old and their (well, our) knowledges comes just from books and internet. There are no teachers, no traditional covens...and only few books of bad quality in our language.

Well, we know something. We study our books for several years and try to practice. But now, there is a question. If someone, usually someone younger, ask us to help - what to do? Teach them, when we ourselves are not masters? Or just say - read this book and hope, that sometimes the situation change?

I think, that it is necessary to do something, because if we do nothing, many people interested in paganism would leave this way and never come back. So I proposed an open ritual on Midsummer. Open fer everybody, who wants to join us, not just people, who know each other and are used to doing rituals just together.

And than, I was asked to do it. To facilitate open midsummer ritual. I am quite afraid of it, but I would try to do it and hope it would be succesful.

I hope, Goddess cares over me - the books ordered from USA arrived today :-) (3 books written by Zsuzsanna Budapest and Starhawk's Spiral Dance - and they look very hopefully :-)

I am ill since saturday. Flu or something like that. First I thought about the possibility, that it could relate to the ritual I've done evening before (maybe not well "banished" elemantal power), but now I don't think so, because of too many people, who got ill the same time.

I saw this book first on Llewellyn website about one year ago. And it took me, but I didn't  bought it that time (it's not so easy, if you live in central Europe). 2 months ago it crossed my way again, and I bought it.

I found this book one of the best I have ever read. And I found something about Dianic Witchcraft (I heart about it few words, but don't know anybody in my country, who practice it).

I am still reading the book (getting near to the end) and awaiting new Amazon package - with Holly book of Women Mysteries, Spiral dance and some more.

I´m beginning my path to Dianic witchcraft. This site I would like to have as a diary of my progress.
